Capital Campaign Build Update: Week of 5/19, frame interior walls. Week of 5/26, plywood roofing.
Thank you to everyone who has participated (or plans to participate) in our Capital Campaign through pledges, prayers, or both. Our goal, throughout this project, has been to build-up our community, to strengthen the personal connections that unite us together as a parish family, and to provide new ways to grow closer to Christ Jesus. Please join me in praying for God’s continued blessings on our parish. -- Fr. Dave
We are making some additional changes to the build because we have told you, our Parish, we would do the right thing the first time. You will see an increase to our Capital Campaign numbers of $36,139. This will include these changes:
The new HVAC system we are installing for the new build will be able to heat and cool the Sacristy area. Wall vents and duct work will be added so that all 50 year old heater boxes can be removed from all areas.
A trench drain will be added behind the garage area to prevent flooding into Fr. Dave’s garage which happens each time it rains heavily. The old pit drain has been removed near the new build.
Ceramic tile has been added instead of carpet tiles in the Quieting room to prevent all lingering odors from infant/toddler accidents.
The 50 year old carpeting in Sacristy area will be removed and new carpet squares will be installed.
Low flow measured sink faucets will be installed in all new bathrooms.
Financials for Our Capital Campaign: Pledge goal of $4,594,495 and we are currently at $4,563,867 and have received $3,854,459 in cash. We removed some defaults in March and are waiting to hear from several other folks. For those parishioners I would appreciate a confirmation if you are able to complete your pledge. We have had a few parishioners who have not been able to complete their pledges due to financial hardship, have moved away or have died. Fortunately, several of you have talked to me wanting to increase their pledges to cover some of these defaults which is just great. Thank-you so very much.
If you can make a new pledge or an additional pledge increase, please remember to call 614-866-2859 or email John Beyerjbeyer@spxreynoldsburg.com to let me know so I can add these to our numbers. If you do so through Faith Direct, please let me know this also.
The entire Phase II project is focused on building-up our parish: as a community of friendship with Christ, and as a communion of faith in Christ, with every person valued, and every family involved.
We are extremely proud and thankful for all of you that have made a pledge and continue to honor this commitment to St. Pius X Church & School by continuing to pay on your pledge until it is completed.
From all the Staff here at St. Pius X, Father Dave, and I, thankyou and God Bless!
