Prayer, Adoration & Devotions
Liturgy of the Hours
The Liturgy of the Hours, also known as the Divine Office or the Work of God (Opus Dei), is comprised of five prayerful components: Office of Readings, Morning Prayer, Daytime Prayer, Evening Prayer, and Night Prayer. We pray Morning Prayer regularly at 8:00 AM in the church every Tuesday and Thursday morning. All are welcome to join us in recognizing and sanctifying the day, and praising God for His goodness. If you need more information about Liturgy of the Hours, please contact Deacon Jim Kelly at 614-866-2859 ext 102 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you or a family member is in need of prayers, or if you have a special intention, the faith community of St. Pius X will pray for you through our prayer chain. We have had some wonderful healing take place as a result of our prayer efforts! Faith and the power of prayer can work miracles; no request is too small for God. If you would like to pray for those in need, consider joining our parish prayer chain. Done exclusively through email, the prayer chain is a group of parishioners willing to pray for the intentions of others. If you need more information, would like to request an intention for prayer, or would like to be involved as a prayer warrior, please contact Leah Kelly at 614-866-2859 or email@example.com.
Eucharistic adoration is conducted as a parish community every Wednesday from 7:30 AM-7:30 PM before our tabernacle in the side chapel of the church. A variety of books and reflection materials are available to assist you during your holy hour. A schedule is organized and managed by St. Pius X Pastoral Advisory Council (PAC) to assure that someone is present with our Lord during this adoration period.
