These ministries and committees are essential in supporting the livelihood of our parish community. They advise our pastor on spiritual and financial direction, work with him and other parish leaders in facility planning and maintenance, and help raise funds that support the health of our parish family and its home.

Church Decorating & Easter Cleaning

The special Holy Days of Easter and Christmas require additional help to clean and prepare our worship space. Decorators help prepare and display the many Easter lilies and Christmas poinsettias donated by our parishioners for these feasts, as well as set up additional displays to enhance our worship experience during these special seasons.  We typically clean and decorate the day before Christmas Eve if possible and the morning of Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday. Time is dependent on delivery of Christmas and Easter flowers from the nursery. There are no meetings to attend. If you'd like more information or would like to be added to our email list, please contact us.

Collection Counters & Captains

Collection counters help us count our weekly offering taken up at weekend Masses. Teams of 3-4 counters work with a collection captain and are scheduled twice a year. Collection captains oversee two teams each and are scheduled four times each year.  Counting takes place on Sunday mornings following the 8:30 AM Mass. Volunteers should be 18 or older and must sign a confidentiality waiver before participating. Directions are provided to help new volunteers learn the methods to count and organize collections for proper deposit. Free coffee provided! If you'd like more information about joining us, please contact our coordinator.

Garden Angels

Garden Angels work in the landscape beds near the rectory, church courtyard, school entrance, and preschool during the growing season of May-October. They help to weed the beds, water flowers and plants if rain is scarce, trim hedges and shrubs and prepare the beds for mulch in May. This does not involve heavy gardening, landscaping or grass mowing. There is no fixed schedule. Volunteers may work at a time that is convenient for them, but please bring your own garden tools to use. This is an excellent ongoing activity for school service. If you are interested and would like more information, please contact our coordinator.

Festival Planning Committee

The annual St. Pius X Festival is held on the first Friday and Saturday in August and is a major fundraiser for the parish. Our Festival Planning Committee is a team of parishioners who meet from February through August to plan and organize this community event. Those with electrical/acoustic knowledge are an asset to layout and set up, and we could especially use those skilled in selecting musical entertainment, maximizing corporate sponsorship return, and developing midway games for youth. We welcome new members and new ideas! If you would like more information about joining our committee, please contact us.

Pastoral Advisory Council PAC (Parish Council)

Pastoral Advisory Council (PAC) is composed of the pastor and 13-20 appointed representatives of the parish. As faithful witnesses to the Gospel and our Catholic tradition, our primary purpose is to discern the present and future needs of St. Pius X Parish and advise and assist our pastor in responsibly directing available resources toward fulfilling those needs. Parishioners interested in serving on Pastoral Advisory Council are encouraged to apply in April of each year. If you have questions about Council or would like more information, please contact us.

Wondrous Works

Wondrous Works is a group of handy parishioners who share their time and talent to help with a wide range of repairs to our parish facilities. As fix-up projects arise, we contact our team and try to give about one week's notice. Because of work schedules, we typically gather for work from 6:00-9:00 PM. Basic tool skills are needed. Carpentry skills are a plus, but not required. We repair pews, fix doors, build benches, complete minor plumbing projects, and try to help our parish with any small project possible. Bring your tools! Please contact us for more information and to get involved.

St. Pius X Vocation Prayer

In every age Lord, you raise up women and men who are strong in their faith and bold in their actions to give witness to the Gospel.

Fill St. Pius with Your Spirit and give us a burning desire to make a difference in our world because of our love for You.

Bless our Church with holy and courageous priests, deacons, religious sisters and brothers, devoted married couples, dedicated single men and women and enthusiastic youth.

We ask in Jesus' name.
