Our parish serves nearly 2,000 families and nearly 5,000 souls. It operates a parish preschool (through Pre-K); an elementary school (K-8) of with over 550 students and 70+ faculty and staff members; a Parish School of Religion program for grades 1-8; an afterschool Latchkey Program; and summer Vacation Bible School. If you have skill and talent working with young people in an educational setting, or would like to assist with projects for these organizations, we welcome your volunteer participation!

 

Prior to working with minors (age 17 and under) in our parish and school, prospective volunteers must have a Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) background check with FBI fingerprinting and complete the Protecting God's Children for Adults® program.

Parish School of Religion

The St. Pius X Parish School of Religion supports the catechetical and spiritual development needs of students in grades Preschool-8. Volunteers to act as catechists, aides and support staff are always needed.

St. Pius X Children's Center

Our Children’s Center offers part-time Preschool and Pre-K classes for children ages 3-5 years old. Volunteers are always needed to help with maintenance chores, classroom support, and other areas.

St. Pius X Elementary School

Our parish school supports approximately 550-600 students in grades K-8. Volunteers are needed to help in classrooms, work at our reception desk, assist as cafeteria helpers, and support our special events.

St. Pius X Latchkey offers a planned program of afterschool activities for St. Pius X School children. It operates daily from 2:30 - 6:00 PM when school is in session. Volunteers are always welcome to share talents, hobbies, or special projects with the children.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is held every year in June. The program is currently held in the evenings from 6:00-8:30 PM, Sunday-Thursday, with a family celebration on Friday from 6:00-8:00 PM. VBS is offered for 4-year-olds (daytime toilet-trained) through rising fifth graders. Volunteers from Grade 6 through adult are needed. Our 2018 dates are typically announced in February.
