Why is There Still Suffering?
with Mission Director, Father Thomas Blau, O.P.

The parish mission is fast approaching. Scheduled for March 24-26 at 7:00 PM in the church, we welcome Father Thomas Blau, O.P., as our Mission Director.  “Why is there Still Suffering?” is this year’s theme. Father will address why there is suffering in the world and why that is a problem and he will explore what Jesus did to change the way we approach suffering. Father Thomas is a member of the Dominican Order. He is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and is a diehard Browns/Indians/Cavaliers fan. Father Thomas lived in Honduras and Guatemala on an extended service mission that piqued his interest in a religious vocation. He is currently an itinerant preacher in the Diocese of Columbus while living at St. Patrick’s Church. Following each night of the mission, there will be fellowship and refreshments in the Monsignor Funk Family Center.

Did you miss this year’s Catholic Women’s or Men’s Conference? OR Do you just want to share and reflect on the impact the conference had on you with others? Join the SPX Women’s Ministry and the Armory for the 4th Annual Post-Conference Replay & Reflection Breakfast on Saturday, March 23rd, from 7:00-11:00 a.m. We will begin with Adoration in the Church, followed by breakfast and plenty of time to replay/reflect or perhaps learn what was discussed at your conference in the Parish Family Center. There will be breakout sessions for the men and women and at the end we will come together as a combined group and share what was learned so that we can better understand how “to be Inspired by Faith…so as to put on the Full Armor of God!” There is no cost to attend.

St. Pius X Vocation Prayer

In every age Lord, you raise up women and men who are strong in their faith and bold in their actions to give witness to the Gospel.

Fill St. Pius with Your Spirit and give us a burning desire to make a difference in our world because of our love for You.

Bless our Church with holy and courageous priests, deacons, religious sisters and brothers, devoted married couples, dedicated single men and women and enthusiastic youth.

We ask in Jesus' name.
