School Open House is a Chance to Explore Catholic Education

St. Pius X School will host its annual open house at 1061 Waggoner Road, Reynoldsburg, on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, from 6:30-8:00 PM. This event is an opportunity for members of the school's surrounding communities to explore the value of a Catholic education and to experience a sampling of the many great things that happen there each day. Tour classrooms, meet the principal, staff and faculty, discover the technology lab, hear the school choirs and ukulele band, make a small art project, and much more. Parish Council Responds to Fatima, Power of Rosary

As part of its goal to increase prayerfulness at St. Pius X and to honor Our Lady of Fatima's request to pray the Rosary daily, Pastoral Advisory Council (PAC) led the parish in praying the Rosary between the 10:15 AM and 12:00 noon Mass every Sunday during October 2017. Praying the Rosary at St. Pius X is having an impact in the parish. PAC is now actively seeking ministries and families willing to lead one Rosary a year between the 10:15 AM and 12:00 noon Mass on Sunday.

St. Pius X & Reynoldsburg Community Blood Drive: Partners in Saving Lives

The St. Pius X Reynoldsburg Community Blood Drive ministry, under the coordination of parishioner Walter Lee Brock, plays a role in saving lives by hosting regular blood drives throughout the year. For over 40 years, the ministry has conducted six blood drives a year.

"For I Shall See You Again": Comforting Those Who Mourn

The loss of a spouse through death is one of life's most stressful events. St. Pius X has recently developed a new support and healing ministry for widows and widowers. Called For I Shall See You Again (John 16:22), the ministry offers a regular opportunity for widows and widowers to gather in a safe and loving environment in order to share their grief journey through discussion and prayer.

Parish Picnic is a Time for Celebration, Building Community

Our Parish Picnic will be held on Sunday, August 6, 2017, following the noon Mass. Held in the shade of the main festival tent on parish grounds, this annual event allows us to get together with one another, relax, and enjoy each other’s company outside the demands of daily life, with good food and good friends in Christ.

Christmas Craft Bazaar is Opportunity to Share Christ's Love

In November, a holiday tradition returns to the St. Pius X Church and School community. Through an initiative of the parish's Pastoral Advisory Council (PAC), the St. Pius X Christmas Craft Bazaar will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017, from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM in the St. Pius X School Gymnasium located at 1061 Waggoner Road, Reynoldsburg. This event will welcome up to 50 independent craft vendors and will feature a variety of items for sale. Refreshments will be available for sale by the Knights of Columbus Fr. Andrew H. Hohman Council #5253. There will be a two dollar per person entrance fee.

Military Outreach Ministry to Honor St. Pius X U.S. Veterans and Active Military

Every year, Memorial Day weekend honors our men and women who have died while serving in the U.S. military. A sacred memorial, it can be easy to lose sight of its meaning and the memories that are woven into this national holiday when going from one festival or picnic to the next. The St. Pius X Military Outreach Program, coordinated by Mrs. Krista Schumacher, has a recommendation for capturing the true spirit of the holiday.

Men of the Parish "Carry the Cross" on Holy Saturday

Since 2015, men of the parish have been witnessing to Christ’s passion by participating every Holy Saturday in an 8-mile, walking stations of the cross through the city of Reynoldsburg. Organized by the St. Pius X Men’s Ministry, The Armory, Carry the Cross is planned this year for April 15, 2017, from 7:30 AM-12:30 PM.

St. Pius X Welcomes City Representatives, New Community Center Discussion

St. Pius X Church and School recently hosted representatives from the City of Reynoldsburg who answered questions about the proposed Reynoldsburg community center and the income tax levy that will be required to fund its construction. A town hall meeting will be held on April 12, 2017, at 6:30 PM in Reynoldsburg City Hall, located at 7232 E. Main Street.

Turning Five in Summer: Should You Wait Another Year for Kindergarten?

If your child turns five in the months of May-September and is enrolled in kindergarten the following fall term, he or she may be up to ten months younger than other classmates. Should you allow your child an extra "growing year" in Pre-Kindergarten to encourage more development?  Our early learning experts from the St. Pius X Children's Center answer this question.

St. Pius X Parish School of Religion Making Strides in Religious Education

Under the direction of Pastor Msgr. David Funk and Coordinator of Religious Education (CRE) De Ann Bukowski, the St. Pius X Parish School of Religion (PSR) supports the catechetical and spiritual development needs of parish preschoolers and students who do not attend a Catholic school in kindergarten through Grade 8. With a current 2016-17 enrollment of 224 and a staff of 55 catechists and support personnel, the school conducts 30 classes on Sunday afternoons and evenings between September and May.
