Milestone Reached: First $1M Collected
Monsignor Funk and the campaign team are very pleased to announce that our parish has reached a milestone in its capital campaign. Because of your generosity and your commitment to honoring your campaign pledges, the parish has reached its first million dollars. This is one of the primary reasons that we are poised to begin construction in May 2017 instead of next year.
Phase I: Construction Update
Our initial construction effort will be to add the second-floor to Hohman Hall in order to house the new Latchkey and Youth Ministry Center and to adapt the first floor for use as an on-site storage facility. Once begun, construction of the Hohman Hall expansion is expected to take from 5-6 months. Catz Excavating, Inc. has completed the drainage project which involved running lines down to French Run Creek. This area will be seeded in April. The parish’s site plan passed its Reynoldsburg Zoning and Planning Board Variance Review on February 23, and on March 2 the Reynoldsburg Planning Commission approved the all-site plan. Bishop Campbell should have all estimates and construction plans in hand by the end of March, for construction to begin as soon as the parish is ready.
Moving Help Needed: Hohman Hall
The parish will need to move items out of Hohman Hall in preparation for construction. In mid-April, a 40-foot storage container will be delivered to the back of the parking lot and will be used to house all of the furniture and materials from Hohman Hall. Several pickup trucks will be needed to move these items the short distance to the storage container.
Volunteers will be asked to help move all materials out of Hohman Hall the weekend of April 22-23. We are looking for 20 individuals to do the heavy lifting for this endeavor. If you can help with this, please contact John Beyer in the rectory office at 614-866-2859 or email@example.com.
Following April 13, Latchkey will be located in the main school building for the remainder of this school year as we make this transition.
Pledges Still Needed: Phase II
Remember that our campaign continues as we seek new pledges to help us continue our building effort to expand the narthex of the church. Please use your green campaign envelopes or pick up a pledge envelope in the vestibule of the church.
Msgr. Funk, the capital campaign team, and the staff of St. Pius X want to thank all of you for your continued support and prayers toward this wonderful endeavor.
