New Pledge Total Reaches $2.2 Million
All gifts, no matter the size, are needed and greatly appreciated. The campaign is based on equal sacrifice, not equal giving.
Redemption Phase Begins Soon
The redemption phase for the St. Pius X Continuing to Renew All Things In Christ Campaign begins next month. All donors will be sent reminders from the parish office in December that will have important pledge information, including the pledge total, the amount paid to date, the balance of the pledge, etc. Families wanting to pay on a monthly basis will receive monthly statements, those preferring quarterly payments will receive quarterly statements, and so on.
Please be sure to accurately fill out all checks and envelopes, so as to avoid any confusion in pledge payments. Remember to write the check out to St. Pius X Catholic Church with Capital Campaign in the memo line. It is most helpful to return your payments in the special envelope provided with your statement or the stewardship offering packet. If you have any questions concerning your pledge payments, please call the parish office at (614) 866-2859.
Will You Respond?
A special appeal letter from Monsignor along with a pledge remittance envelope was sent to all parish families who have not yet made their capital campaign sacrificial pledge. We are asking every family to please consider a financial commitment of $5,000 payable over three years ($125 per month after a 10% down payment). If you cannot make a $5,000 commitment, perhaps consider a pledge of $3,000 ($75/36 months with the suggested 10% down payment).
Ultimately, what we are asking from everyone is an equal sacrifice, not an equal size gift. However, we also ask those who are able to consider a gift of $10,000, $15,000, $25,000, or more to please prayerfully do so and become a leader in this important endeavor. If you cannot make a pledge or gift to the campaign or you are still praying over your decision, please respond soon and let us know. All responses are appreciated and will save us valuable resources in the follow-up phase.
May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting encouragement and good hope through his grace, encourage your hearts and strengthen them in every good deed and word. 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17
There are two important lessons here. First, we are called to be generous with our encouragement and hope. As God shows us mercy, we must be merciful to others. Second, joy is contagious! The joy we receive from doing good works not only strengthens us, it encourages others as well.
